Euro 2024 Qualifiers: Standings and Playoff Scenarios

Overview and Format

The European Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2024 ran from March to November 2023. The 55 UEFA member associations were divided into 10 groups of five or six teams each. Each team played every other team in their group home and away for a total of eight or ten matches.

The top two teams in each group qualified directly for the UEFA EURO 2024 final tournament in Germany. The remaining teams entered the play-offs.

Play-Offs

The play-offs consisted of two rounds: the semi-finals and the final. The 12 teams that finished third in their qualifying groups were ranked based on their results. The four highest-ranked teams received a bye to the semi-finals, while the remaining eight teams played in the play-off semi-finals.

The play-off semi-finals were played on March 21, 2024, with the winners advancing to the play-off final on March 26, 2024. The three winners of the play-off final qualified for the UEFA EURO 2024 final tournament.
